German art students ask Internet to decide if innocent lamb lives or dies
Urgh.

Go on the website and vote nein.
I’m shocked at how equal the votes are.
Guys.
The “yes” voters are actually winning.
This should have way more notes than this.
WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?!
I like to think I have an appreciation for art, but I stop appreciating when someone or something dies as a form of art. This is disturbing.
I don’t have the eloquence to express my rage and disgust at this. Anyone who would even think of supporting this does not exist to me. This is completely heinous and the most sorry excuse for “art” or a school project. It’s nothing but a thinly veiled twisted desire for a spectacle of pain and blood with these students using the pathetic defense of laying the blame for their own sick fetishisms on the ‘internet’. It’s horrendous and cowardly. If they truly believed in their “art” they’d put their own necks on the line, but in this case they’re not even taking responsibility for their actions. I’ve rarely seen such a load of utter bullshit. It proves nothing and provides the world with nothing except to show that humans, on a whole, likely haven’t progressed very far forward from the blood thirsty desire for spectacle of the Roman Coliseum. And that certainly isn’t news.
For anyone excusing this as being just like the meat industry, I’m not going to go into my distaste for factory farms, but in regards to the parts of the industry that DO operate in as close to a humane fashion as possible, this is NOTHING like that. Once you make something into a form of entertainment (there’s nothing else this can be, seeing as even the method of murder, the guillotine, was designed for spectacle ) it no longer is comparable. Anyone too simpleminded to see the obvious difference is not worthy arguing with.
THE YES VOTES ARE WINNING WHAT THE FUCK
Fucking hell
I have a million things I could say right now, but I’ll just narrow it down to this…
This is not art. This is animal cruelty. No creature, human, sheep, or otherwise, should have to die for the sake of art. Yes, people use animal products for art, but more often than not, the animal was already dead, and died of natural causes.
People like this make me feel like I should be ashamed to be an artist. This is disgusting. Vote No (nein) to this, please.
This is fucking sick. Please go to the website and vote “nein”
PLEASE go to http://www.die-guillotine.com/#sv_ergebnisse and vote “nein” to save this lamb’s life!
4-28-12 Experimental Notes
The Polyjuice Potion (PP), reached the end of its brewing cycle today. Unlike the last experimental batch, I did not include any leeches. I placed a mouse hair into the brew (as I did on all other trials), and before it reached it’s completion I attempted to transfigure the liquid into a stuffed mouse. The product of this was unexpected, but strangely fortunate. The entire liquid turned a bright purple/silver color, and maintains a thinner viscosity than water. There were no explosions.
I took the proper safety precautions in casting indicators over the morphed PP, and all signs revealed that it was non-toxic. I filled an oral syringe with 1ml of the PP and administered it to rat #1215 (a.k.a. Growler). For the first 20 minutes of clinical observation there was no visible change in the mood, behavior or appearance of #1215. At 21 minutes and 15 seconds, #1215 became a mouse. I cast several diagnostic charms, and determined that #1215 did, indeed, become a mouse. This effect lasted for 5.1 hours before dissipating, at which point #1215 gradually transitioned back into being a rat. The transition period took 2.54 minutes.
From these results, and the diagnostics I ran during that 5.1 hours, it is likely that we were not seeing a delayed PP reaction but a delayed transfiguration. The full composition of the rat changed, where PP only works to change what is outwardly exposed.
I have already begun to brew a second batch so this experiment can be repeated and validated.
